WHO WE ARE
Organ Transplant Maui support group is a non-profit organization that provides support, education, and informational materials on transplantation to recipients, donors, caregivers, and their families. We have no dues or fees. We meet in Central Maui on the first Saturday of each month but due to pandemic, we are currently meeting online through Zoom.

For information about our meetings, you can reach us at (808) 357-8877 or use the contact form below to send us an email.
OUR MISSION
Together, we support and comfort transplant recipients and their families as they experience the trials of an organ or tissue transplant. We give hope, support, and education to future transplant recipients on the waitlist and promote organ and tissue donor awareness in our community.
EXPERIENCE AND STRENGTHS
Receiving an organ transplant is a daunting experience. If you reside in Maui, it can be even more daunting because transplants are not done here. Regardless of the organ, you must travel to a transplant center on Oahu or the mainland for the surgery.
This is where the Organ Transplant Maui group is a real help. Members of the group have gone through this, and their knowledge and support can help make the challenges easier for the patient and family to deal with.
IN MEMORY
This page is dedicated to those who helped start the OTM Maui Support Group, but have since passed on, such as our two of our early members, Lopaka and Nolan.
Both men were kidney recipients. Nolan Yap was one of the founding members of the group. He was a tireless advocate for transplant patients like himself.
